28 March     [7] Today Pinkiert249 removed the corpses of two children from                           our centre. Each day the same thing. The director said that he is trying to get the gate opened on 1 April. This will be a great relief to our wards. They will go out to beg, while the children, particularly the orphans, will enlarge the army of urchins on the street of the Warsaw ghetto.

A large room in the basement has been tidied up. About 100 people will be put there. The cinema located in our courtyard will probably receive a transport of 800 refugees. There was some bread today. The soup was not that thin.
