200 kg of bread were purchased. 92 kg were distributed among those in isolation and 5 kg of the 18 kg we received from ŻTOS were distributed among the camp people.

But that amount of nourishment, as I have said, did not satiate [55] those in isolation. Ever hungry, they gathered at our door demanding food.

Report for 23 March 1941

We have not received any products from ŻTOS for three days. Those in isolation are living in horrible conditions. We bought bread from the Care Section purse. We distributed 1,020 rations [of bread] and 300 rations of cream of wheat to children and TB patients. We sliced 98 kg of bread. 17 kg of bread for tomorrow.

At six o’clock we received 30 kg of marmalade and 12.8 kg of granulated sugar from ŻTOS.

We sliced 98 kg of bread into 1,020 rations.

Those in isolation had become more bitter and despairing, which, as I said, found [56] expression in protests. One of the most tragic incidents of this kind took place several days ago this March. Some women in isolation stood in the windows with children in their arms and threatened to jump out with the children. The Aryans that gathered (in a working-class district) began to show solidarity with them by shouting insults at the quarantine management and throwing stones at the windows of the office.

I know these details from what the morning shift told me.
