matzo received from ŻTOS.289 Our wards are beginning to leave the quarantine. All people in isolation have to take a shower before leaving, and some receive clothes.
[70] From 19 April 1941 to 25 June there were no people in isolation in the quarantine. The second stage of its operation, which was to last until the liquidation of the quarantine and its transformation into an infectious diseases hospital (that is, until September 1941), begins on 25 June.
Throughout the day we received 288 people from the centres to be isolated in the quarantine.
The people in isolation were so exhausted and emaciated that the plainly insufficient food rations not only did not revive them, but made them sick or even occasioned their demise. Every day their number decreases by those referred to hospitals and those who die.
