Report for 1 May 1941


8:30 a.m. Number of camp people—334. 4½ kg of bread in store. We processed over 100 letters and 60 parcels with clothing and food. We received 100 kg of bread from ŻTOS. Tonight a group of approximately 200 people left for Błonie. All the departing people received ¼ kg of bread and postcards. Some also got clothing.


Report for 2 May 1941


Today we processed 200 letters and approximately 100 parcels with food and clothing. All money paid by the families of those about to be sent to a labour camp [96] was paid out. We got 100 kg of bread from ŻTOS. We distributed 414 rations of bread. Consequently, we have 62 kg of bread and 85 pieces of bread for tomorrow. Moreover, we distributed 26 pairs of footwear and underwear delivered by the Care Section for labour camp prisoners.

117 camp people. 62 kg of bread and 85 pieces of bread in store. We are still processing correspondence and parcels and transferring money. The shortage of clothing is so acute that people leave for the labour camps ragged and barefoot. As we did not receive any bread today, only some of the present camp people received ¼ kg per person.


Report for 4 May 1941


Today at the ghetto border the German guards stopped members of our [97] Care Section on their way to work. Some members lost their passes issued by the J.H.K. and their Judenrat certificates. Consequently, we are currently unable to work in the quarantine. As a result, [our wards] were left without the assistance of the Care Section.
