To which came a reply that there were more people to rob Jews, in the first place those who risked their lives for the Fatherland. The Volksdeutsche were led outside amidst a commotion. After the customers had disappeared, Hans called out, “Lis, you had the cheaper overcoat, so you must provide a measure of vodka and a pint; whoever had the more expensive one, must give two measures.”
