On Saturday, 1 March 1941, on the way from Łowicz to Warsaw, 3 km before
reaching Sochaczew, an automobile came driving in the opposite direction
and, when he saw that Jews were travelling, he stopped and started beating
[them] to death. The Jew Yudl A. Wołkowicz, 52 years old, was killed. The rest
of the Jews were beaten until they bled and the little children had to lie down
in a ditch full of water with their faces in the water.
