On Wednesday, 10 June, 2,003 people were assembled and hurried to the
train platform.
On Thursday, 11 June, they were loaded into boxcars and deported, as far
as is known, to Sobibór.
Chełm Lubelski
Between mid-April and the end of May approx. 6,000 “unemployed” Jews were
deported to Sobibór. Up to 500 people were murdered on the spot. The Jewish
population is completely terrorised and incapable of any confrontation, particularly
because those who leave town can be “legally” shot (it is the same
in other towns). The town is swarming with snoops and denouncers, whose
only task is to detect instances of sympathy of Polish neighbours towards the
miserable Jews.
Hrubieszów
Between 26 May and 2 June this year the Germans drove all Jews from the
neighbouring localities to Hrubieszów. On 2 June there were more than 10,000
Jews in Hrubieszów. The first Aktion was conducted on 2 June. A few dozen people
were murdered, with 2,000 deported in an “unknown direction” (Sobibór)
in sealed boxcars. The subsequent Aktions lasted until 10 June. 200 Jews died
on the spot, with 5,500 deported in groups to an “unknown direction”. 2,000
people remain in the town.
Sosnowiec
In-mid May 4,000 Jews were deported to die. For now the Aktion has been
discontinued.
Grabowiec
On 8 June the Germans drove all the Jews from Grabowiec and other small
towns (a total of 5,500 people) to the railway station in Miączyn. 4,500 Jews
were loaded into boxcars and deported to the death camp in Sobibór.
Dubienka (Lublin area)
Between mid-May and early June this year almost the entire Jewish population
of the town was murdered and deported to Sobibór. Only 200 souls of the
4,000 Jews remain.
659 c-c (Ger.) Yes, this is the first time we can blow off some steam. So all those who do not work need to get lost. Only labourers and their families can stay. Away!
