[[21]] [. . .] is [. . .] children [. . .] entertainment. We [. . .] taught [. . .] children recitation, [. . .] songs of all kinds. A second entertainment project was the Peretz
Commemoration. We taught them Peretz’s Song of Mourning amongst others,
and they learned to recite texts by Peretz. In the meantime, the children
learned a whole array of songs. After that we had a small Shavuot programme.
Now there will be a more elaborate programme consisting of recitations, choral
recitals, songs and dances. The event will take place at the end of Week of
Cleanliness.

[[22]] the [. . .] to produce [. . .] income [. . .] fundraising [. . .] extremely successful.
Within a short period of time we managed to [. . .] our hall with the children’s
groszy. We bought flowers with which we decorated every table and each
corner. We bought paper out of our own money to decorate the hall. The children
chose one child from the younger group and one child from the older group as treasurers. They themselves keep the account books. Each child puts whatever money he can into the cash-box. There are some children who are unable to contribute. For this entire period, we have deposited 8 zlotys 38 groszy and we have paid out 9 zlotys 10 groszy. This means that we have borrowed 72 groszy from the teacher. In addition, we have to cover the debt of the paper
for our entertainment programme.
[[23]] [. . .] peas [. . .] each [. . .] with flowers. [. . .] about bread. The children
[. . .] cut out various little pictures. We had a [. . .] which produces beans.
We [. . .] the room. The children wrote about the plants that had been seeded.
We made a small wall-newssheet with the articles. We organized a Peretz
Commemoration¹²¹ at which we explained to the children who Peretz had been,
and we sang his songs.
On the anniversary of Sholem Aleichem’s death we organized a Sholem
Aleichem Month, during which we read and adapted Sholem Aleichem’s stories
such as ‘Rabchik’, ‘On the Fiddle’, ‘I and Bozo[?]’, ‘Greens for Shavuot’ and
‘Motl Peysi the Cantor’s Son’. We also read stories by other famous Yiddish
writers. The children wrote articles about the stories that were read and
