Dear Colleague!


On Saturday, 15 November, at 12 o’clock (sharp), on the last day of the
“Children’s Month”, there will be
                   a grand opening of the Central Library for Children
affiliated with CENTOS, in the premises of the Library, Leszno Street 67,
apartment 49 (in the courtyard to the left, groundfloor).


Programme:
a) Introduction: Roza Symchowicz, Director L. Neustadt,³⁹⁵ and Dr A. Berman.
b) Report on the organisation.
    Artistic performance by: Chana Bras³⁹⁶ (recitation) and S. Gurdus-
    Kamińska (singing).
    We are inviting you to this important cultural event, convinced that you
    have a keen interest in cultural work with children in the Yiddish language.

395 Lejb (Leon) Neustadt (1883–1943), director of the AJDC from December 1919, an activist of CENTOS, after the outbreak of war the first chairman of KK (until January 1940), continued to work at the AJDC, member of the CENTOS council and the TOZ board. In the ghetto he married actress Klara Segałowicz, they both obtained documents confirming foreign citizenship; in July 1942 they were interned in the Pawiak prison and shot. 396 Chana Braz (Bras) (1895–1942), popular actress, member of the Vilna Troupe before WWII. In the Warsaw ghetto she worked for the ŻSS and performed at events organized by YIKOR, ŻSS, and CENTOS, also for children. She perished in Treblinka.
