TORAH (Hebrew: teaching, law) – the first five books of the Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy), codified approximately in the seventh century B.C.E.; the name is also used to refer to the Rodale, which is the scroll of the Pentateuch written on parchment.
