Transkrypt, strona 393

However, most of the testimonies are anonymous. We only know authors
of 12 testimonies, among them the only one we know at least something about
is Natan Koniński, one of the Ringelblum Archive’s associates; other authors’
names are only known from their contribution to the underground Archive.
Among the Oyneg Shabes members who were recognised as those who recorded
or copied the documents were Daniel Fligelman, Yekhiel Górny, Mordechai
Schwartzbard, Hersh and Bluma Wasser and Chaskiel Wilczyński. Of the
90 testimonies, 61 are written originally in Yiddish, 28 in Polish, 1 in Hebrew.
So far, only one (Doc. 94) has been published in translation into English.⁶⁷⁸
My thanks go to the coordinators of the series, Professor Tadeusz
Epsztein for his supervision and extraordinary patience, and Dr Eleonora
Bergman for her careful reading of the text and valuable remarks. For their
help and advice, I specially thank Dr Aleksandra Bańkowska, and all the team
of the Archives of the Jewish Historical Institute: Agnieszka Reszka, Michał
Czajka, Agnieszka Jarzębowska and Monika Taras. Finally, I would like to
thank all the translators into English.
