1000 The ten Jews arrested in Łęczyca were first taken to prison in Łódź, where they were tried and sentenced to death. On the way back to Łęczyca two of them died, after which the Germans arrested two people in the town at random (Fishl Hirszberg and Yankev Szpigel), who were added to the group of condemned men and hanged on 17 March. See ibidem, pp. 266–273.
1001 In Poddębice (Łęczyca County) a similar execution took place on 17 March 1941, when 5 Jews were hanged. See ibidem, pp. 266–273.
1002 Ten Jews were also hanged in Bełchatów (Piotrków County) on 17 March 1941. See ibidem, pp. 272–273.
