The Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto , the so-called Ringelblum Archive, is a unique collection od documents salvaged from the Holocaust. It has been inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List since 1999. The Archive also includes works of art created in the Warsaw Ghetto, however contrary to the volume of salvaged documents they are very few in numbers. Works of only two artists survived: Gela Seksztajn’s and a draftsman Rozenfeld’s, whose first name remains unknown to us. Their works show that even in the most difficult conditions and extreme circumstances art can be created. The art than is not only moving, but also exceptional.
